Rony and the Screamers

De band begint in 1964. Ze treedt op in de plaatselijke jeugdgebouwen zoals De Heerd, ‘t Krotje en Concertzaal de Jong. Ook treedt de groep vaak op in het clubhuis aan het Boterdiep.
De muziek bestaat hoofdzakelijk uit songs van Cliff & the Shadows.
Uit Rony and the Screamers ontstaat in 1966 de 4 D.G.-set, de latere Flash.
Johan sjoerts is al sinds 1976 tamboer bij gruno's postharmonie en is sinds 2009 percussionist en repetitie drummer bij de steelband van de postharmonie uit Groningen.
